We love the beach!

On the weekend take your canine lovely with you to the leash free beach areas that are nicely scattered around the Peninsula.

Somers to Sandy Point is a lovely walk, choose your return distance between 1 and 15 kilometres.

At the end of South Beach road, park, descend the stairs on leash, turn left and within 200 metres the leash free zone begins and goes for approx. 7 or 8 kms.

Recently the dolphins have been swimming adjacent to your outward walk as you glare across the bay at Cowes on PI, in fact, the more you walk the closer the Island appears to get. Keep turning the corner and you will soon see French Island, sometimes the passing ships feel like they are going to land on the beach with you.

Pause for a stick or ball throw, a photo of the natural surrounds, or plunge in for a deep water swim.

Whatever you do, don't tell the locals I told you!
