A place for swimming, maybe a spot of fishing off of the jetty or from a kayak, some bird-watching as the local pelicans, seagulls and other waterbirds go about their normal daily lives. is a great place to relax, unwind, escape the hectic life of work and stress. Bring your family or meet up with friends, walk the dog or just enjoy some quiet time alone.

History meets lifestyle at . Walk to the beach from Port Pirie, or drive and park in the convenient quiet car-park behind the meandering lawns and sheltered BBQ and picnic areas. Check out thought-provoking public art. Enjoy the shade of trees, the lush green lawns, and watch your children play on the small but fun playground. Bring a group for a relaxed organised event under the large shelter-shed, or just walk on the jetty and look at the calm water of the inlet and the staid mangroves where many wild birds live their lives.

Cycle the pathways. Walk into town from the Caravan Park at the opposite end. Walk to the skate-park to watch your kids scrape their knee-pads, check out the boat ramp in case someone needs a fishing buddy on their boat, or walk to the marina and dream about tying up a little yacht of your own in front of the Port Pirie Yacht Club.

has something relaxing and reflective for everyone. The atmosphere seems to always be calm and soothing. The entire area is also pleasingly photogenic!
