Warmth and a multitude of colours envelopes you away from the onset of colder nights. Aromas tease the nose. On the upper level, swathes of colourful sheer fabric overhead provide feelings of escape to another land. Backless Turkish seats also dot this area.
The exotic dishes offered in this restaurant have grown a rapid appreciation as a regular favourite. The smell of warm bread enhances the appetite and the flavour of your meal.
After dining perhaps on Lamb Guvec or Ottoman fare and settling into conversation, live music surprises as belly dancers emerge. Rolling satin-clad hips are accompanied by tombak drum, acoustic guitar and finger cymbals. All senses sated.
Belly dancers perform only on Friday and Saturday nights.
On some Sunday afternoons the 'Music Lounge' showcases young local musicians from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. See Sofra's Facebook page for upcoming dates.
