Whatever your reasons for being in Sydney, the Sofitel Sydney Wentworth offers a prime location for getting things done. The stylish hotel offers 436 rooms, 46 of which are high grade luxury rooms. So if you're after premium accommodation with plenty of facilities and the whole of Sydney at it's doorstep, you'll find it all here.

The simplest room at the Sofitel Sydney Wentworth is the classic room with a king size bed. This was simply heaven in itself. All room types from the superior room onwards offer garden courtyard views. The luxury rooms offer more space and tasteful decor with Club Sofitel access where platinum levels of service are enjoyed. This is where your stay at this hotel becomes a great home away from home. Furthermore, all guests receive complimentary entry to an on-site health club.

Who doesn't want a free gym pass for every day of their hotel stay. All guests who stay at the hotel get to enjoy the facilities of the Elixr Health Club. This health club is conveniently located right inside the hotel. This health club is fantastic for soothing the mind, body and the soul. If you have ever paid $80 for a private pilates reformer class, you will know where I am coming from. Elixr at the also offer yoga and traditional pilates classes.

For those of you that are not into pilates or yoga, the traditional cardio equipment is there for you to enjoy. Meditation and personal development seminars are occasionally conducted at Elixr, and hotel guests still receive an opportunity to participate. Of course this all depends on your timing.

It's a beautiful hotel, with even the best French toiletries for guests staying at this hotel: think L'Occitane. Now they offer Roger & Gallet bathroom amenities. Their pillow menu has to be the most impressive from all the 5-star hotels that I have stayed at in Sydney.

Tasteful decor. The ambience just draws you in. No different to looking up at the decorative crystal lights in the lobby and conferencing areas. You feel spoilt in a delude of luxury, and yet you stay here when you know you deserve it. The is perfect for business and leisure travellers to Sydney, as well as to Sydney locals who want to escape home for a night. Life is short, your chance to escape in luxury.

When you head down to the bar area, expect to meet a few international guests. The bar area is open and airy. Not overly cosy, yet their desserts and hot chocolates are delightful and utterly amazing. On the pricey end, yes indeed. This is one of Sydney's most luxurious hotels on the luxury end of the city.

You're right opposite Chifley Plaza. This is where the affluent Sydneysiders like to shop. Their food court area mainly sells healthier foods. Iku was the first food outlet I have ever been to in this complex, for lunch that is. Great take away can also be found here. If clothes shopping is your scene, you will find some amazing clothes shops here and nearby the shopping strip leading into the main hotel entrance on Phillip Street.

You're not far away from Macquarie Street, the Domain and the State Library of New South Wales either. You're only a couple of blocks away from Circular Quay. From here on in, the Rocks, the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Royal Botanic Gardens will enable you to explore more touristy activities in Sydney. These activities are equally enjoyed by Sydney locals too.

If you're a historical buff: you have a few different museums on tap. The Museum of Sydney isn't too far away. If you don't mind a bit of a walk to Hyde Park, then the Australian Museum is right there on your doorstep. These museums are there to whet your appetite for culture. On the topic of culture, there is plenty of culture on this end of the city. The vibe of this hotel in three simple words: cocktails, culture and luxury. It represents everything great about Sydney when you wish to spoil yourself for business or pleasure. Then again, this is where you can mix in hard work and productivity with rest and relaxation. The time will come when you won't want to head to the main desk to check out. Enough said.
