After seeing so many Instagrammable photos online, I finally made it to Social Hideout and experienced the beautiful cafe for myself.
On a bright summer's day, I ventured to Waterloo with a couple of girlfriends to see what all the fuss was all about. And it was a beautiful place, a little smaller than I had imagined it to be, but the ceiling was decked out in fake flowers which looked stunning. I had felt that they had too many tables in such a small area that made it hard to walk around for both the waiters and customers.
I started the meal with refreshing juices and smoothies that was perfect for a 36 degrees day. Followed up with beef sliders, bao and ragu pasta to finish. It was a good selection of the menu to try out but I wasn't hugely impressed with the food for the amount of hype.
It wouldn't be a place that I would really travel to go for their food, to be honest, but I did love the decor. A huge novelty for me but nothing special to write home about.
