With the change of season has come a change in menu at Parramatta's delicious foodie hideaway - the Social Hideout in North Parramatta.

The pumps out food that is not only a delight to all of your senses but also nourishment for your soul. With quirky names like the Hayne Plane, Mr & Mrs Benedict, The Habib, Eat My Chick and Hail the Kale, you'll be giggling your way through the menu as you decide what to eat, as we did when we were invited to brunch recently.

Our favourite item on the new Autumn menu at the was The Habib - a dish that will certainly become beloved amongst the local foodie set. This little beauty consists of za'tar poached eggs, beetroot hommus, pomegranate, shiitake mushrooms and smashed avo on sourdough toast. Every component of this tasty brunch item works together so well, and the final pop of the pomegranate seeds leaves a delightful aftertaste in your mouth.

Every millennial's favourite, the Avocado Smash is also featured on the menu and is as flavoursome as any we have tasted in Sydney town. The dish is served with perfectly poached eggs wobbling on top of avocado, cherry tomatoes, Danish fetta, basil and then it's sprinkled with dukkah. For those of you who may enjoy some extra hog protein with your breakfast, you can also add on bacon. If you like a sugar fix in the first part of the day, the Taro Hotcakes maybe a good choice for you. This dish takes the humble taro to a whole new level by whipping it up into delicious hotcakes and then serving them with mango, shredded coconut, berries, macadamias, maple syrup and vanilla ice cream.

One cannot brunch without some sort of liquid nourishment and there's a bucket load of drinks to enjoy at the Social Hideout. Green juice junkies will love The Green Shrek. Packed full of kale, celery, apple, spinach and lemon, you know you are imbibing on something seriously healthy yet delicious, every sip you take. There are also other cold drinks available to quench your thirst with equally intriguing names - the Iced Bubblegum or Bula Banana Smoothie are good examples. Caffeine fiends will love the Social Hideout's baristas. They brew up superior Campos Coffee using Riverina Fresh Milk, and also offer some twists on your traditional favourites such as the Bubblegum or Red Velvet Lattes.

The brunch menu at the is served until 2.30pm each day and there's also a lunchtime menu that kicks in at 11.30am. The aerobicized amongst you will love the selection of healthy salads. Hail the Kale is a good example as it is full of kale (obviously), apple, walnuts, pears, pomegranate, red cabbage, quinoa, and balsamic dressing. Those of you prefer to not count your calories will adore some of the naughtier menu items like the Tokyo Mac - fried chicken katsu, mac and bacon cheese, slaw, milk bun and crunchy chips; or the Arigato Waffles that come with furikake chicken, cheddar, crispy bacon and miso hollandaise.

So next time you have a yearning for a really good feed, gather up your brunch crew and head to the to try our their new Autumn menu. Whether you are a millennial, tradie, someone who wears a suit for a living, or parents of little humans, this cafe is perfect for you.
