The Fastest 1000m Timed Sprint in Australia

The Snowy Mountains 1000 is back for its third year on Saturday Nov 22nd at Snowy Mountains Airport.

This annual event plays host to 120 competitors from around Australia with speeds expected to exceed 300km/per hour. A variety of over 25 vehicle manufactures will be represented with everything from custom built race cars, circuit cars, exotics and muscle cars.

Race records are broken every year with the current record of 17.269 seconds and top speeds of 308 km per hour. These results have set the benchmark for 2014. This result of 17.269 makes Snowy Mountains 1000. the 'Fastest Timed 1000 Metre Runway Sprint' in Australia.

Warren Luff (V8 Supercar Driver) and Ian Luff from the 'Drive to Survive' team are bringing their turbo charged Hyundai Genesis with the important message "taking speeds off the road'!

Snowy Mountains 1000 is also a regular supporter of 'The Cancer Council'. This year 'Race for A Cure' has already raised over $5000 by offering customers the chance to purchase rides in some of the outstanding vehicles!

The event is family-friendly with many food stalls and sponsor stands to peruse throughout the day and jumping castles for the children.

You can get up close to the action during the 'Walk through the Pits' at lunchtime as well!

Tickets are priced at $15 for adults;$10 for children (5-16yrs) and Family passes for $45. Children under 5 receive free admission.
