This winter, the children of Brisbane will be lucky enough to have two different locations for snow themed fun. There will be eight toboggan runs stretching thirty metres down the hill at The City Botanic Gardens Riverstage (similar to last year's very popular Snow 4 Kids event). There will also be an Under 8's Silly Snowmen play area at South Bank's Courier Mail Piazza (similar to the previous Silly Snowmen event).
This event runs daily (9am - 5pm) from June 27th - July12th, 2015. It is designed for parents and older children and features a thirty metre toboggan run at The City Botanic Gardens River Stage. The cost is $15 per person (for six slides) and toboggans are provided. There will be a Bavarian Restaurant onsite to help foster the alpine spirit and keep hunger at bay.
Silly Snowmen Event, 2015:
This event also runs daily (9am - 5pm) from July 3rd - July 12th, 2015. It is designed for younger children, (under 8 years old) so that they can build their own snow man, climb a snow mountain and try out the mini snow slide which will take over The Courier Mail Piazza at South Bank. The session times last 55 minutes and cost $20 for one child and an accompanying adult.
Try to arrive a bit early to avoid missing your session and bookings are essential. You must pre-purchase tickets online here, to avoid any last minute disappointments. Finally, don't forget to bring some gloves and gumboots and spare clothes, as the ground gets a little slushy and you are sure to get rather wet.
