Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Lucy, Linus, Sally, Schroeder and the rest of your childhood favourite Peanuts gang have arrived on the big screen. The clever pen of Charles M. Schulz and Blue Sky Studios (creators of Ice Age films) brings us a wonderful, happy romp across frozen ponds, WWI skies, the classroom and the dance floor.
Will Snoopy - the WWI flying ace - finally defeat The Red Baron? Will he win the heart of a cute poodle named Fifi?
Charlie Brown has his own heart aflutter with a new redhead at school. She likes to dance. Can he master the moves to sweep the Little Red Haired Girl off her feet?
With many a nod to the comic strip aerial battles, baseball pitching, psychology advice and late night typing Dark and Stormy Nights, The Peanuts Movie projects its cast into glorious 3D colour. The 93 minute movie is jam packed with nostalgia and new twists. What happens to the kite-eating tree in winter? Who is Snoopy's favourite artist? What really is hanging in Charlie Brown's wardrobe?
Don't miss Pig-Pen's trail of dirt following him on to the ice, Sally making a fast buck as a savvy entrepreneur and the endearing appearance of cartoon speech bubbles. The Peanuts Movie is a beautiful blend of known and new. I plan to go again and take other family members for more feel-good fun.
