Time for a Summer Break
Sometimes it is possible to plan a big holiday away. At other times just a short getaway is enough to have a break and a bit of an adventure. Bed and breakfast accommodation is a popular way to have a getaway. With more of a home like atmosphere and a good breakfast supplied. With this in mind I travelled to the coastal location of Aldinga Beach for a summer break.

Snapper Point B & B is located just a short distance back from the main Esplanade at Aldinga Beach. It has a beach and coastal décor and is blissfully peaceful and quiet. There is a side entrance to the B & B, which ensures privacy and security.

Facilities
This accommodation caters for up to four people. There are two large bedrooms with their own bathroom and toilet. The first bedroom is called the Lady Francesca room and the second is known as the Countess Camille. There is a large dining area that opens out onto a private deck and garden. This B & B has many other areas to relax in. Including a kitchen space, music corner with piano, studio home entertainment room and library room known as the Prince Caspian Library. The accommodation also has a lovingly collected selection of artworks, stained glass and mosaics.

Garden Spaces
The outdoor areas are a haven to sit and relax in. There is a large swing chair and palm corner, a waterlily pond with turtle and a spacious decking area with BBQ.

Hot Spa
The hosts recommend the hot spa as a way to relax before bed. This is in another outdoor area and available to all guests. Having enjoyed a long lazy dinner I felt ready to hit the sack without trying the spa, but would love to come back and try this way to unwind.

Comfortable Bedrooms
The large queen size beds are fitted with an excellent mattress, linen and pillows and I was asleep in minutes. Each bedroom has its own style; the Countess Camille room has a Japanese theme, while the Lady Francesca has a bright open feel. Every detail has been thought of here. With space for your bags, clothing, a digital clock and even some Lindt chocolates. Each bedroom also has its own television and DVD player with a huge range of DVD's to choose from.

The kitchen area has a fridge, which contained some very acceptable home brew beer, and a cheese and dip platter. There are many dining options in the Aldinga Bay area for lunch or dinner. We choose the ever-popular Jimmies on the Esplanade (within walking distance) for fish and chips.

Breakfast
Hosts Robert and Lucie have the gift of hospitality and also make a terrific breakfast. We were served freshly made juice, coffee and waffles dripping with maple syrup and yogurt with walnuts on top. Bacon was offered but we declined.

This is the ideal beach and coastal escape accommodation. With home comforts and all mod cons at your fingertips. Plus the peace and quiet to unwind. I have only just come back from my coastal retreat and seriously want to go back again, always a good measure of how much I enjoyed a holiday.
