Clean in comfort
Even if you have a washing machine there will come a day when you need a laundromat. Maybe your doona or curtains won't squish into your machine. Maybe it's on the blink. Maybe you just need a dryer in wet weather. Perhaps you are a student and don't own a machine.
Firstly it is bright and welcoming. Secondly is scrupulously clean. Then, it is open 24/ 7.
They provide FREE detergent with all front loader machines. And you can finish a load in 25 minutes. A change machine is available if you run out of $1 and $2 coins. Finally there is a large comfortable undercover seating area .
Snap is the closest self service coin laundry to the UQ campus, and centrally located to the suburbs of St Lucia, Taringa and Toowong. The laundry is easily accessible from the Taringa train station (approximately 5 mins walk), bus stops are directly outside, and there is ample street parking available directly outside.
As a 'test' I washed a load of old whites -some were stained (new stains that were sprayed with Sard) and they came up beautifully.
Another plus is you can grab a coffee or a takeaway from close by and eat in peace, read a book uninterrupted, or just catch up on email using their free WIFI.
It would also be perfect for the 'Before you put all your winter blankets away' wash. The large machine take 4 baskets of washing. ($14)
Drying costs $1 for 8 mins and my wash was more than half dry in that time.
Even if you never go there, check out their Blog. It's very interesting and full of hints like how to get your children to help with the laundry.
Prices are very reasonable as the machines are huge.
