Bodybuilding husband and wife team Sally and Tyson Smith came within a hair's breadth of winning Channel 7 reality series Amazing Race Australia in 2014.

They had hoped the $250,000 prize money would help them open their gym, but that dream had to wait until 2018, when the pair were able to buy Snap Fitness gym in Bedford.



Now they are holding a grand opening for their second gym, Snap Fitness in Morley, on November 23, with competitions, prizes, tasting of workout supplements along with informative talks and consultations with health experts.

It has been a hectic time for Sally and Tyson, who also welcomed second daughter Phoenix last month to a very excited big sister Skyla.



Tyson said the couple had always wanted a gym that welcomes everyone, one that isn't intimidating for anyone and now that dream has come true.

The couple will be promoting the launch of the new gym from a marquee at the Bayswater Growers' Market on November 2 and 16, providing fitness advice and opening special offers from 8am to 11.30am at Bert Wright Park.



Snap Fitness Morley at Shop 2, 484 Walter Road East, Embleton, is a gym filled with state-of-the-art, world-class, top-of-the-range fitness equipment.

It provides patrons with 24-hour-a-day, seven-day-a-week access to the facilities along with support from staff and personal trainers.

Facilities include private bathrooms and the gym offers, nutrition consultants, functional training, strength training, personal trainers, Crowd DJ and Nightlife.



A major point of difference from other standard gyms is that it helps members accurately and conveniently monitor their physical activity using Myzone, a leading wearable technology solution.

The new gym is a partnership with Stuart and Michelle Cardey, who own five other Snap Fitness Gyms and a 9Rounds gym.

Tyson worked out of Stuart's Bedford gym for seven years as a personal trainer before buying the gym, and Tyson has been Stuart's personal trainer for several years.
