Get your green thumb wiggling
Snake Bean Community Garden is located near the Geranium Street entrance of George Brown Botanic Gardens Darwin. The garden allows community members to grow fresh food in a sustainable way.

The garden has many terraced levels and many varieties of plants, mostly tropical plants but also vegetables and herbs. Being around Snake Bean Community Garden will give you really a wonderful feeling with plenty of leafy greens and seasonal produce surround you. You can see green pawpaw on trees, eggplant, tomato and pumpkin ready to be collected and even sugar cane can be found here.

Snake Bean Community Garden invites school groups to participate in this project as well and you can also find a water tank and landscaped creek line for stormwater management as part of the sustainable features of Snake Bean Community Garden.
