Snag Stand started with a mission... to create the best tasting snags Aussies have ever experienced! It is safe to say they have succeeded, with over five stores across the country serving up mouth-watering comfort food to the Australian public. The creator of Snag Stand, business man and mogul Philip Blanco (the brains behind many ventures including T2, Mad Mex and Gloria Jeans) came up with the concept back in 2011 when he realised the power of the humble sausage and the attraction many Aussies had to it. Like moths to a flame, we love the sizzle, whether it is a trip to Bunnings and you soon find yourself shuffling around in your wallet for a $1 coin or whether it is the gourmet variety, it was a no brainer for Philip to take this idea and run with it.

Taking a crowd favourite such as the sausage and placing it in the hands of artisan butchers is what makes Snag Stand's produce unique out from the rest. Each sausage is wood-smoked and then flame-grilled on a barbie by their dedicated staff across the country.

With a menu that slides from conservative snags to the truly liberal, it makes the decision of what to eat a mighty tough one. The sausage selection ranges from premium Wagyu beef, cheese kransky and the humble frankfurter.

For those looking for something different, there are also burger options at Snag Stand. There are six burger options ranging from vegetarian to chicken and beef. These are quite large and can be purchased in a snack combo for about $5.50 (just as the snags can), a regular combo for about $6.50. A combo includes fries and a soft drink or water.

A stand out on the sides menu are the chilli cheese fries. They incorporate three of my favourite items, chilli, cheese and fries. A perfect side for your snag or burger of choice, and loaded with so much flavour it's crazy. The only small suggestion I would have here is that the cheese on the fries needs to be more melted to really allows all the flavours to mix in well together.

If you find yourself at Snag Stand, it is a great alternative to your usual fast-food chain, and just that little bit more filling with quality ingredients used for the ultimate gourmet pit stop.
