Don't just visit the Penguins
Thinking of visiting the Penguins on Phillip Island. Drop in to Smiths Beach, there's a general store, a surf shop and a fabulously spectacular beach.
Surf, rock pools, expansive sands, there's something for everyone. Good coffee at the general store, it really is a surprise stopover. Quiet streets, all only a couple of hundred metres from the beach.
Smith's Beach is only a couple of kilometres from the Grand Prix track and a few more minutes to the Penguins. This unexplored side of the Island is a surprise of scenic walks, wild beaches, calmer inlets and expansive farmlands. Rock wallabies and views to Bass Strait are aplenty.
Next time you are on the island, visit Smiths Beach, Smiths Beach offers activities for the whole family. Whether you enjoy the surf, are a keen motor enthusiast, enjoy leisurely strolls along popular walking tracks or prefer to experience the ambience of cafes, restaurants or bars, you are less than 10 minutes from it all.
