Nestled along busy Third Avenue in the East Village neighborhood of Manhattan, The Smith Restaurant attracts business people, tourists, individuals and families looking for an American brasserie with a casual and upbeat vibe.

Since its fall 2007 opening, The Smith on Third Avenue continues to delight patrons with hearty comfort foods served within its dimly lit dining area where retro light fixtures hang from wooden ceilings, and tabletop tea candles add a soft glow. Bring a group of your friends and special folks for a tasty breakfast, lunch, dinner or Saturday brunch in this lively eatery.

An eclectic collection of vintage black-and-white pictures line the walls, and tablecloth-free wooden tables and booths offer casual seating.

Or sit in one of the booths.

And of course, the comfortable atmosphere extends to its fare. Enjoy American classics such as chicken pot pie, short ribs, steak, seafood, plus a host of Italian dishes.

While guests can accompany their meal choices with wine, handcrafted beers, or cocktails, The Smith serves other equally satisfying options—complimentary bottles of still or carbonated water. Drink up as the waitstaff eagerly replaces empty bottles without delay.

Before you leave, don't forget to have some dessert because there are numerous menu offerings, which are all quite delicious.
