Want to learn to work with what you've got? There's one camera that's always in our pockets - the smart phone.

The innovative Brisbane Smartphone Photography Course teaches the average photographer how to best utilise the ever-present mobile phone camera.

You'll learn a range of practical photography tips and tricks and how to best apply them to the limited, but still surprisingly useful, functionality of a phone camera.

In the past decade smart phone technology has progressed so much so that the average smart phone can be a great every-day camera to photograph the course of one's life.

And as our phones are hardly out of reach, this course can teach you how to best capture those spontaneous moments; from your child's first steps, to surprise birthdays, to your beloved pet learning a new trick!

The course is hosted by Pierce Eldridge, an accomplished independent artist, who specialises Photographic Art. Pierce is currently studying a Bachelor of Arts in Applied & Contemporary Theatre at Griffith University. He found his calling in photographic art following an invitation to showcase works from his Certificate 2 in Creative Industries (Media) at the Light Exhibition at the Southside Tea Room.

Under Pierce's guidance, this 2 hour course will turn your run of the mill 'selfie shots' into treasured moments with a few simple techniques.

Each course will cover a range of compositional techniques and basic photography concepts, so it's perfect for those who aren't tech savvy and are photography novices.

Courses run fortnightly on Saturdays at 10 am.

As places are limited, early bookings are advised.

Visit Photoh to make a booking now or call 1300 21 11 21.
