is a neighbourhood cafe and bar that the locals treat like an extension of their home. Customers lounge on red vinyl chairs of yesteryear and chew the fat over steaming cups of coffee, while the staff saunter around the room with plates of omeletttes and fruit-loaf.

's all day breakfast and lunch menu is one of the most varied you'll find in the city's inner suburbs. Eggs seem to be their speciality, evidenced by the popularity of the huevos rancheros, but the menu also includes ricotta pancakes (with saffron vanilla pear and barbados cream, no less), maple glazed granola with banana, and even buck rarebit. There are also vegan options like corn tortilla with refried beans, avocado and salsa.

This cafe welcomes everyone, even those who aren't yet old enough to order their own meal. With a box of knick knacks to keep the kids occupied, is a place where parents can bring the little ones along and know that everyone will enjoy themselves.

Don't think is just a place for getting your day started. Also operating as a bar, you can wind down with wine by the glass as you sit by the window and watch the characters of East Brunswick pass by. If the weather's nice, their little outdoor courtyard is a perfect spot to soak up the sun.

The exterior of 's north facing wall is also a favourite spot for street artists, and as such operates as a kind of ever-evolving gallery.

The funky red wall with giant metal numbers will be what impresses you first, but it's the calibre of the coffee and the relaxed mood inside that will keep you coming back.
