Celebrating its 15th Anniversary, Slow Art Day comes around on Saturday 5 April 2025 and celebrates art, globally . Find out more via given Melbourne website link , on Facebook and Instagram . Hundreds of museums, galleries, churches, sculpture parks and other venues will be holding events relating to slow art globally. Do note that the Facebook and Insta content relates to events from around the world. The given website here is Melbourne-specific. The whole idea is to attend your event and look at 5 pieces of pre-assigned art slowly. Some venues pick five pieces of art, others may concentrate on just a couple, and others may have more options. In some cases, you can meet up with your host and the other participants at a pre-assigned lunch spot, while others may just facilitate discussions in front of each piece of art. The point of all events is that they relate to focusing on slow looking and its transformative power. Contact the participating venues directly about their Slow Art Events
