Going out for breakfast on the weekend is one thing that keeps me going through the working week. And why not? Who can resist tantalising adjectives like smashed, poached, lightly toasted, freshly roasted....weekend bliss!
This weekend saw me venturing to a local Slightly Twisted café in the up and coming Nundah Village precinct. With beautifully made coffee (and a Hersey's kiss on the side to boot), it had my attention from the start.
Casual and laid back, with chilled out tunes, the menu was simplistic, offering variety and wallet friendly options. I decided to go for an ole faithful, eggs on toast with a side of avocado (seriously, what is a breakfast without avocado?) I was lucky enough to even try their homemade BBQ sauce (bourbon and coffee). What a delicious combination.
The boys working here are cute and quirky and happy to share a giggle or two. A cheeky sense of humour menu, honest food, well made coffee and delicious looking treats. Definitely worth a stop by in this Northside local.
