Join Melbourne's biggest slumber party
Once again, Melbourne's holy grail of sport becomes the home for a night for nearly 2,000 Melburnians as they change into their warmest PJs to raise money for a great cause.

Sleep at the 'G returns to the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on May 16. This is the seventh-year the 'G has hosted the event, the city's largest sleepover hoping to put the city's youth homelessness to bed.

This May, help put youth homelessness to bed and particpate or donate to Sleep at the 'G.

This year, Sleep at the 'G is set to attract more than 1,800 sleepers, an increase from 1,500 sleepers in 2018. "This year, we are setting our sights high and increasing our sleeper target on last year," says Vicki Sutton, CEO, Melbourne City Mission(MCM). "For many Melburnians, Sleep at the 'G is an excellent chance for friends or workmates to come together for a great cause. Every night in Victoria, there are 6,000 young people experiencing homelessness, and this isn't good enough.

Nearly 2,000 participants will spend the night at the MCG.

"Melbourne City Mission encourages everyone to get involved. If you can make it on the night, donate and help us put youth homelessness to bed," Sutton adds.

Gates opening at 5pm and the overnight sleep event aims to meet an ambitious fundraising target of $1.2 million, to break the cycle of youth homelessness across Victoria. Every dollar raised will go toward building and furnishing Melbourne City Mission (MCM) crisis accommodation centres across the city, a step towards ensuring those who are at risk of homelessness will have the support they need.

Round up your friends and help raise funds for a great cause.

Sleep at the 'G is an opportunity to come together and express our collective support for some of Victoria's most vulnerable young people who have nowhere safe to sleep and help raise awareness of youth homelessness.

Participants must be 12 or older on the day of the event. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. A maximum of two 12-17-year-olds will be permitted per legal guardian.
