Come along to hear these heavy metal bands and more
The first Slayfest dates back to 9th March, 2007. It was a multi-stage indoor festival which was packed out at the Capitol & Amplifier Bar, 393 Murray Street in Perth. It was held to showcase Australian live acts in the metal, rock and hardcore classifications.

After 11 years, Slayfest comes out of hibernation to celebrate a huge "reunion" starring a hand-picked group of the best Australian heavy acts from yesteryear and today. This one huge night of "reformation and flashback fury" will be at the place where it all started, the Capitol and Amplifier in Perth.

Slayfest will be a huge event this time and it will be held on Saturday 10th March with a ginormous selection of music and bands.

This time there will be the following artists appearing live:

This group formed in 1999, and have released six critically acclaimed studio albums since then. They have gone on to become one of Australia's most successful heavy acts.

Full Scale
This band started in 1998 and is a popular Perth heavy metal band. Some 20 years on they are back and ready to slay you.

This group were probably the pioneers of death metal in Australia, and they are now back after a 14 year "hiatus". They will be stronger than ever and will have brand new classic songs that will be on their album soon to be released.

Mutt formed in the early 90's as a group band with a common love of beer and Radio Birdman. This Perth punk rock band released 4 CDs as well as playing at hundreds of gigs including multiple Big Day Outs.

From the Ruins
This group is now reforming, after not having been seen since April 2007! Perth's forever hardcore heavyweights will be performing again for Slayfest, and proving that you can't always teach "an old dog new tricks".

This group became established in Perth in late 1996, when they became renown for their outrageous shows, lyrics and lack of taste!
In August 2001 the band played what was to be their last ever show to a thumping crowd of 600, and after this, they had another go in 2005. Now they will be back to start all over again for one last time.

Caddis was formed in 1997, when the four high school friends from Fremantle came together with a love for heavy groove-based music – Nu Metal. They went on to release one album that was enough to put their name in Perth Metal history.

Now some 20 years after that release, Mark and Stu, who were the original members and main songwriters, are ready to start over again in a one-off performance at Slayfest.

This group is from Margaret River and is a punk metal group who will perform at Slayfest for the first, and probably not the last time.

Unravel are one of Perth's rising next generation to be joining in on the comradery at Slayfest.

Maximum Perversion
This band was formed in 1996 by a group of friends who shared the same passion for 90's death metal and alternative rock. They went on to create their own brand and style of music and started to build a following with their shows as local Perth pubs.

Toe to Toe
Toe to Toe are a popular group in the Australian hardcore punk community. They formed in 1992 and have inspired many bands since then with their passion and intensity. They have played with many greats of the industry and toured the world.

This is another band that has been in hibernation for some time, and on 10th March they will be playing their first show in more than 20 years.

Population Control
Population Control is a "Grindcore band" from Perth with a group of four guys.

Bare Bones
DJs: Cain; Polly & Bones; and Nicky Knox & Crafter

There will also be food, band merchandise and comedians at this great festival.

There will be 3 stages and doors will open at 6.00 pm. The show will go on until 11.30 pm.

This Reunion Festival is presented by Ram-Raid Entertainment, Soundworks, Touring and RTRFM 92.1.

Tickets are available for $39.90 and you can book your tickets at the OzTix website, or phone 1300 762 545.
