With a couple of weeks of housesitting on the Gold Coast, I had a few things on my "Bucket List". One was to revisit the
Q1 - . I do wish I was younger and fit enough to do the climb but in some ways, I was relieved that I didn't have to challenge myself that much.
As a concession holder, my ticket up to the 77th Floor was only $15 and that included a $10 credit at the wonderful cafe. What a bargain. And I found parking under the building - which was free!
I certainly picked a great day to go! The weather was near perfect and the views all around were amazing. I took nearly 40 photos as I wandered around the building.
After thirty minutes of wandering and taking photos, I set out to make the most of my credit and had a coffee and cheesecake, for which I only had to outlay $2.00!
My photography skills came into use as a lady traveller from Perth asked me to take some photos of her, with the vast seascape in the background with her phone. She was thrilled with the result.
Tickets can be purchased online or at the ticket counter on arrival. There are several offers, some of which include dining as well.
One day I will have to visit at night. On a Saturday night, they are open until 8 pm, so this would be the only time to see the night vista. Check out the opening hours and special offers on their website
here.
