Enjoy the fireworks from the National Museum of Australia
Skyfire is a night of live music and fireworks on the shores of Lake Burley Griffin at Regatta Point (Commonwealth Park) on Saturday, 18th March. This yearly tradition began in 1989 as local radio station 104.7's contribution towards the Canberra Festival held that year. After such a resounding success, it has now become a much-anticipated event on the Canberra calendar, for all ages. Each year the fireworks are set off from the lake to a backdrop of music on radio station 104.7.
Also on this night, the National Museum of Australia, which is located a short distance along the lake, will be hosting a cocktail party for party goers to enjoy the fireworks as well as canapes, drinks and entertainment. Relax and enjoy the views from this scenic location with a full drinks package. Cost is $120 per person and the cocktail party will be held between 6pm - 10pm.
