Enjoy spectacular views from your Sky Lodge Apartment
Staying in Binna Burra National Park during winter doesn't sound particularly glamorous, that is until you check out the spectacular four and a half star rated
Sky Lodges which boast spectacular views of the Coomera and Numinbah Valley from every apartment. While the wind howls outside and rain lashes the roof, you can feel comfortable that you can enjoy the warmth of a fireplace, cook your dinner in a well appointed dinner and snuggle up in king size beds.

Sky Lodge bedrooms can be made up to suit your needs
The Sky Lodges ooze luxury. Every room is heated and two of the bedrooms and the lounge room have veranda views overlooking the spectacular valley. On a clear evening the lights of the Tweed and Gold Coast twinkle in the distance and during the day, light sparkles off the Coomera River. If you tire of looking at the view, the apartments have television and video facilities and you can visit the lodge library and borrow a book.

Enjoy the warmth of the fireplace as you admire the views
If you don't feel like doing your own cooking, you can head up to the Binna Burra Lodge, where Sky Lodge guest receive a 10% discount on their pre-booked meals in the cliff-top dining room. The food here is simple and tasty, with dinner consisting of soup, several options of main meal and plenty of dessert. Special diets can be catered for by booking in advance. Lunch can be ordered in advanced and is packed full of goodies to keep you going on one of those long Binna Burra walks. Breakfast is worth a visit, with plenty of cereal, toast, coffee and a full cooked breakfast if you prefer.

Venture outside to enjoy a bush walk or perhaps the 8 metre high flying fox
Of course, when the weather does ease up, you can avail yourself of the many wonderful walks and activities on offer at Binna Burra. Why not start your morning with a Yoga session, free for Sky Lodge residents, or book in for a relaxing "Bliss" Massage. A great treat for all of the family is the Flying Fox - real value at $20 per person and just a short fifteen minutes walk through rainforest from your accomodation. At night time there is the communal campfire and stories, or perhaps spotlighting, when you can see special Binna Burra residents including 'Mortitia' the ancient funnel web spider emerge from her home.

Sky Lodge bathrooms boast luxurious spas
The sky lodges are able to be booked as a one bedroom studio, or a two or three bedroom apartment, with beds able to be arranged in any configuration to suit your needs. There are spa baths in the two ensuite bathrooms, as well as laundry facilities. A BBQ is available on the apartment deck. The studio apartment bathroom has stunning valley views which you can enjoy from the comfort of your spa bath.

You can choose to cook your own meals in the well appointed kitchen
Sky Lodge accomodation does not come cheaply, however there are a range of packages offering discounts on the
Website. Prices range from $295 for a one bedroom unit to $645 for a three bedroom unit for a night on the weekend. Weekdays are cheaper. I think this is a great way to spend your tax return and reward yourself for all of that hard work with a weekend of luxury.
