I was wandering back from the dentist and walked past a building that was boarded up. On it was the usual billboard posters that are absolutely everywhere.
Mounted upon these were a few pieces of photographic art which were really beautiful. The art has now moved on, but the images were superb and the location for the exhibition was unexpected, so I would still like to share.

The artwork is by
Christopher Ireland and the Project seems to be related to a collective called
Skin on Wood. There is an iPod App that can be downloaded, which from what I can work out is directly related to the artworks that were displayed.

The photographs have a soft element to them that seems to transcend the scene in which they have been set.

In Australia, most major modelling agencies agree to put their clients to work when they turn 16. In the meantime, keen to secure potentially lucrative contracts, agencies have an "in development" section where hopefuls sit and wait. Some will make it, some won't. These girls find themselves in a precarious position - they are young and beautiful, but also young and impressionable. Against the subtle rings of timber, Skin on Wood examines this tableau."
