A friendly program aimed at refugees in Adelaide
Sometimes we all need a little oomph from someone else to improve ourselves. The Australian Refugee Association (ARA) has recognised this need in our community and created "The Skills Shed".

"The Skills Shed" is a skills development program, aimed at refugees living in Adelaide. Held every Thursday from 10am to 2pm, the mission is to improve the use of the English language whilst making friends, increasing your confidence and acquiring new manual skills, such as gardening, furniture restoration, general building and carpentry.

And of course, there is no better way to strengthen new friendships than sharing a meal together, so a free light lunch is provided for participants.

Visit this innovative space and gain new skills to help you get a job, practice your English in a friendly atmosphere, enrich your life with new friends and of course, discover new hobbies or hidden talent!

Contact the Australian Refugee Association, email stephen.johnson@ausref.net or visit them in person at: 304 Henley Beach Road, Underdale.
