Looking for weekend or school holiday entertainment for the kids? Remember how much fun you once had roller skating? Well why not take the kids along to Skateaway for some roller skating or roller blading fun? It's a great way to get fit, meet people and basically have a ball.
Skateaway is tucked away at Albany Creek Square shopping village and as you wander up the stairs, you enter a world of fun. The place is fully air conditioned, which is a real plus for hot summer days. For non- skaters they have some arcade games to play and their own cafe onsite selling drinks and snacks such as Baskin Robbins Ice Creams, Slushies, chips, nuggets, pizzas, and lollies etc.
There are roller skates and blades for all ages to be hired, purchased or you may bring your own if you wish. During school holidays and on Saturday mornings during term time, there are "Learn to Skate/Blade" classes just in case you need to brush up on your co-ordination skills. During the week, there are "Under 7's Tiny Tots Skate" sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays (9.30am - 11am).
Skateaway can also arrange day time or night time birthday parties - the lights are dim, the disco ball's flashing, who knows what fun you could have? They hold regular theme events as well - upcoming Easter Saturday will be the next event with chocolates for all and then free Anzac Biscuits all around on Anzac Day too. Sounds pretty good to me - time to get rolling.
