I write for Weekend Notes and I take photographs, usually sunsets and sunrises. Occasionally I include my photos in my articles. I like to promote Geelong, and activities around Geelong.
Geelong South and Armstrong Creek school holiday program. Holiday activities for secondary school aged young people.
Remember your safety gear
There are a lot of activities on in Geelong during the school holidays. You can check out events in the What's On magazine, or view events online using Google search.
Monday 19th January there is a Skate and Giant Games Day event. This event is FREE. It is being held at the Warralily Sales Office, Barwon Heads Road, in the W Lounge Car Park.
Get your skate on at Warralily
The event runs from 12.00pm to 4.00pm. Snacks and drinks will be provided. Please contact Karina Donkers, to let her know if you're attending, as Karina needs to know how many people to cater for.
There is a permission form that you can download from the Geelong Australia website. Please fill this in and bring it with you on the day. If you don't have access to a printer, there are permission forms available on the day. Please bring your adult or guardian with you so they can fill out your permission from.
You can contact Karina Donkers by email for any further information about this event. You can also phone Karina at the City of Greater Geelong on 0419 504 329.
There are other activities advertised on the City of Greater Geelong website, however they appear to be full. It may be possible to get a place in one of the other events, however it would be best to contact Karina Donkers first to see if there are vacancies.
Some of these events sound like lots of fun. Learn to surf, bouncing at the Airodrome Trampoline Park, Street Art Workshop or a day out at Adventure Park, to mention a few of the other activities that were on offer.
I hope you get to the Skate and Giant Games Day, and that you have an amazing and safe, fun filled day.
