With the onset of a cold and bleak looking winter, you bring out the woolly blankets and stay inside, or you could get to Sizzle Sundays at the Petersham Bowling Club and warm yourself up to the sounds of live music, cheap drinks and family fun.
This year's Sizzle is starring The Ensemble Offspring- a contemporary classical music group who take the classics and mash them with avant-garde, pop, early, late and so much more to bring you a completely unique and ever surprising performance.
Grab your family, meet your friends or just join in the casual, cosy atmosphere yourself on Sunday 15th July and Sunday 19th August at 3pm for 2 days and 2 different programs of music and mayhem.
Just a few of the performance highlights planned for Sizzle Sunday number one on Sunday 15th July include Mr Fast Fingers James Crabb, Ensemble Offspring's dream percussion team, clarinettist come table hitter Jason Noble, singer songwriters Kate Rowe & Ryan Morrison and DJ Tom Smith. Even the breaks will be entertaining with a 'karaoke massage' (I'm not sure exactly what it means either, but I'm definitely curious) from Professor Paw Paw himself.
If that leaves you wanting more never fear, the second Sizzle Sunday on Sunday 19th August promises an equally entertaining line-up; and this time 3 lucky audience members get to join in.
Doors open at 3pm. Tickets are sold at the door for $15-$20 per person. For more information on The Ensemble Offspring and Sizzle Sundays visit their website.
