Taking its name from its street number, along Sydenham Road in Norwood primarily specialises in Thai cuisine. Aside from Thai food, the cafe also offers various cafe-style food, many of which have a Thai flair to them.

We liked that the pieces of barramundi in the Three Flavour Crispy Barramundi Fillet were fairly large and the batter coating contrasted well with the perfectly cooked flesh. The barramundi did not taste fishy, an indication of its freshness. The homemade sweet & sour sauce gave the dish its distinctive tangy flavour and a bed of fried rice vermicelli noodles provided extra crunch.

Among the fusion-style cafe dishes that can be ordered, the name Tom Yum Omelette is very fitting as it had a flavour very much like its namesake. The omelette had a delightfully fluffy texture with the button mushrooms, tomatoes, spring onion and red onion providing extra flavour and texture. Accompanying the omelette were a small salad and sourdough toast.

A combination of a croissant and waffle, a Croffle is croissant dough cooked in a waffle iron rather than the usual way of baking it. The croffle that featured in the Apple & Rhubarb Crumble Croffle did not taste too sweet, and the stewed apples and rhubarb still retained a bit of firmness. The crunchiness was provided by the macadamia crumble and a scoop of vanilla ice cream partnered nicely with the rest of the dish. While tasty enough as-is, maple syrup was served on the side for those that want to add more sweetness.

The barramundi in the Barramundi Taco was done as well as the one in the Three Flavour Crispy Barramundi Fillet and was complemented nicely by the mango salsa and Asian slaw. A hint of spiciness was provided by the Siracha sauce and mayonnaise helped to balance out the heat. A lemon wedge came with the tacos for diners to squeeze over the barramundi if they wish to add a bit of tartness.

As its name suggests, Larb Tofu replaces the usual meat element with chunks of fried tofu. The fried tofu had the right amount of crispiness and the Thai dressing had the flavour you would expect from a Larb dish. There were enough fresh greens to make eating the dish a satisfying experience and slices of red onion provided some sharpness.

The grains of rice in the Pineapple Fried Rice was light and fluffy with a bit of charred flavour. The curry powder was what gave the dish its distinctive flavour, with sweetness provided by the raisins and cubes of pineapple. We chose chicken for the meat ingredient of the dish. If you prefer the dish can instead be prepared with prawns.

One of the pastries available during our visit, the Almondy Cake was not too dry and had a nutty flavour. The chocolate between the layers of almond complemented it nicely and the slivered almonds in the topping provided a bit of crunch to the pastry.

Aside from pastries, the cafe also offers ready-made sandwiches for those that feel they cannot wait for their menu items to be prepared. If you are looking for a place offering Thai food or cafe food that is a bit different, consider giving a visit.
