Don't leave your fur babies at home
In March, there are six dog events that you can take your best fur friends to, and they all sound like great fun!

1. Pet Fest 2018
This will be held on 11th March, 2018 from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm at the Woodville Reserve, North Perth.

This event will include free micro-chipping for your pet, food trucks for both pets and humans, a sensory garden for dogs and the most wonderful pet related stalls.

This will be hosted by WA Pet Project and the City of Vincent. WA Pet Project is a group of volunteers who give their time to change the lives of pets and humans.

They re-home and have an adoption program for dogs and cats, and their aim is to have a world where animal rescues don't need to exist.

Another aim is to help the community become great pet owners through various education programmes, online resources and dog training courses.

2. Dog Day Out 2018
This will be held on 24th March, 2018 from 9.00 am to 2.00 pm at 28 Phoenix Road, Hamilton Hill.

This is an annual event which been a huge success so far. You can bring your furry friend along for a great day out.

There will be ice cream, bouncy castle for the children, a rescue grooming competition, games, sausage sizzle dog wash and heaps of stalls.

One of the stalls is Mad Dog Accessories, who have some "wacky" things for dogs. They also have specially designed bowls that stop your dog from gulping the food down. I have one of these and they are brilliant!

Heidi's Doggie Treats will also be there, and these are great natural treats for your dog.

3. Easter Party
This Easter Party is being held by BooBoo's Doggy Day Care, 51 Furniss Road, Lansdale on 24th March, 2018 from 10.00 am to 11.30 am.

Easter is a great excuse for a party and BooBoo are doing this a week early as an Easter Party, as many people go away over Easter.

All dogs, no matter what size, are welcome as long they are social and friendly and they will need to be supervised at all times.

SUPS Tonic Australia teach Stand-Up Paddle Boarding, and for this, you need minimal athletic ability.

Now they are also teaching PUPS on SUPS! This is held each Saturday morning at Sandy Beach Reserve in Bassendean.

They will supply the boards and paddle, you just bring yourself and your dog, or you can check it out first by watching a class and talking to the teachers.

You can find out more about this event at the SUP Tonic website.

5. Rescue Roundup
The Dog Groomers Association of Western Australia, Inc is holding a Rescue Roundup Grooming Competition on the 24th March 2018 at Phoenix Primary School.

Grooming will be held from 10.00 am to 12.00 noon at the same address as 2. above, and spectators are also welcome.

You can find out more about this event at the DGA, and see the programme of events here.

6. Dog N Jog Event
This is at Murdoch Murdoch University, 90 South Street and will be held on Sunday 25th March 2018.

You will enjoy a morning of fitness and fresh air with your four-legged friends. There will be activities and treats for your dog, freebies, prizes and more!

You can also join hundreds of participants in a 3.5 km walk, a 3.5 km run or a 10 km run - with or without your furry friend.

After your morning run or walk around the Murdoch campus, You can relax under the trees of beautiful Bush Court. Here, there will be music and refreshments, including hot coffee, fresh fruit and juice, dog-friendly popsicles and more, which will be available to buy. All dogs will receive a small gift at the end of the race!

This is a free, family-friendly event to support The Veterinary Trust, and they welcome donations. The closest car parks to the event are car park 2, car park 3, car park 4 or car park 5.
