You Have Never Seen Hot Chocolate Made Like This
Melbournians love nothing more than decadent treats, especially when they have an exquisitely luxurious feel to them. If having a cup of hot chocolate in what appears to be more a high-end society fashion store than a chocolate bar appeals to you then head on over to Eastlands to Sisko Chocolate.

Forget the flat bars of chocolate, Sisko promise to do luxury designer handmade chocolates in an exquisite setting.

The owner of this store was a former floral designer and you can see this passionate embrace of class within everything that is created here; with meticulously hand crafted floral centerpieces on the tables, flowers, sculptures, edible centerpieces and wall installations along with beautifully presented gifts and treats.

However, the reason that you may have actually come here is for their signature hot chocolate experience, which is as much an event as a drink of hot chocolate.

You will be presented with a paddle board filter, a glass of water (goodness knows you might need it after this hot chocolate), a glass with a beautiful chocolate sphere with gold decorations and embellishments on the outside, and a ceramic jug filled with hot chocolate.

As you pour the hot chocolate over this sphere, the sphere will gently rise and bob around floating, before it begins to melt. As it melts into your cup, the treats inside are revealed to contain tiny little marshmallows, which are released, floating up to the surface of your hot chocolate. It's sure to delight you and the children.

It is a bit of an expensive Indulgence at $11.50 per hot chocolate but for an experience, particularly one shared with a friend, it's certainly something that will get you talking.

If you prefer to take your chocolate experience to the next level and if learning about chocolate appreciation or chocolate and champagne, is more your thing, Sisko run a series of workshops that you can join in and really learn how to appreciate what it is that you are enjoying.

Whether you pop in for a hot chocolate, some beautiful gifts for a friend, or want to take a master class or a workshop, Sisko chocolate is located at Eastlands Shopping Centre on level 2 / Shop 2126. They are open during normal shopping centre hours and the best entrance at Eastlands to get to Sisko is the West Entry D.

Definitely going to put this on my 'kids bucket list'. Yes, an indulgence, but not an everyday one! Thanks!
