There's always a reason to divert from the Highway. Highways may make it faster to travel from Point A to Point B, though don't you find that they tend to hide hidden treasures? In this instance, Mount Cotton, midway between Brisbane and the Gold Coast, is home to a picturesque winery that is home to wallabies as well as grapes.
Sirromet Winery at 850 Mount Cotton Road is a family owned winery and is surprisingly family friendly with a playground to entertain the kiddies, a children's menu at the Cellar Door Cafe, and an alfresco dining area.
Sirromet's state of the art facilities offers food and wine lovers the ultimate winery experience utilising beverages produced from grapes grown in Queensland.
There are so many different experiences to be had at Sirromet Winery, but I'll just share my favourite for the moment.
