The coolest event is coming to Singapore this September. Landing at the Sands Expo & Convention Center of Marina Bay Sands is The Singapore Toy, Game and Comic Convention (STGCC). Organised by Reed Exhibitions, the world's largest event organiser, this world of toys, games, comics, anime, manga and collectibles draws some 40,000 visitors each year with 181 exhibitors from 10 countries. Reed Exhibitions also run the New York Comic Con (NYCC), Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo (C2E2), Special Edition: NYC, Oz Comic-Con, Star Wars Celebrations, Star Wars Celebration Europe, UFC Fan Expo, PAX Australia, PAX Prime, PAX Dev and PAX East.

From 6 to 7 September, the biggest names in the industry from the West will join forces with the pop cultural personalities from the East to deliver a jam-packed programme at STGCC. You and your kids can expect stage performances, show floor exhibitions, game demos, live sketching, Cosplay phototaking, autograph sessions, giveaways and much more. Some of the highlights include:

  • Debut appearance of Japanese voice actor Tomokazu Sugita, famous for being the voice of Gintoki of the popular Gintama. Another star attraction is Japanese illustrator Nao Shirahane (a.k.a DMYO) who has done illustrations for many light novels and works with Konami, Gainax, Ascii Media works.

  • Cosplayer Stayxxxx will be making a rare appearance to the delight of thousands of fans. Stayxxxx is best known for her amazing portrayal of Levi (Attack on Titan) and Makoto (Free!).

  • The STGCC DJ Night will gather all 3 music genres of Anisong, Vocaloid and Touhou on one stage for the first time in Singapore . Be prepared to rock the house with renowned DJs Inu, D.Watt and sasakure.UK from Japan.

  • Meet the top-notch artists including Cameron Stewart, David Mack, Humberto Ramos and Olivier Coipel. Olivier worked on 'Avengers vs. X-Men', Humberto did the 'Amazing Spider-Man series' and Cameron and David are working together on the artwork for the highly anticipated Fight Club 2.

  • Meet renowned toy designers like Italy-born Simone Legno, creative director and co-founder of 'tokidoki', and Frank Kozik of the urban vinyl toy 'Labbit'.
