If you're lucky, you can leave your wallet and credit card at home this March because Sydney is hosting two unique experiences that money simply can't buy. And the events couldn't be more different from each other. But in the best Dirty Harry tradition, first "you've got to ask yourself one question. Do I feel lucky?" Hold on to your lucky rabbit's foot or four-leaf clover because luck is what you're going to need to participate in these events.

Singapore Takeout - Wednesday 14 March 2012

The recipe for one of the world's best gastronomic experiences is simple but a little unusual. Take one large shipping container, a sprinkling of world-renowned celebrity chefs and a generous dollop of food passion from Singapore. Blend and send on a 12 month tour around the globe, stopping in cities like Paris, New York, Moscow and Dubai. The Singapore Takeout mobile pop-up kitchen and restaurant has its final stop at Campbell's Cove, The Rocks in Sydney, but even Bill Gates in a foodie frenzy couldn't buy himself a ticket. However you could be added to this exclusive and tasty mix through the ballot to secure one of thirty once-in-a-lifetime places.

The legendary Ignatius Chan, from Singapore's world famous Iggy's restaurant, and his crew will be popping up in this kitchen, sizzling up a storm and serving Singaporean delights from 6pm to 7.30pm on Wednesday 14 March. For your chance to attend simply email [email protected] with your full name and the full name of of your fellow foodlover (a maximum of two tickets will be awarded per entry), along with your email address and mobile number. Entry is absolutely free. Places will be awarded through a random ballot process but you must register by Sunday 4 March. Full details are available on the Facebook page here .
Do You Think You Can Score? - Saturday 17 March 2012

And now for something completely different. Fancy yourself as the next David Beckham? Think you can mix it with the big guns of Australian soccer? Ever watched a tense penalty shoot-out and thought "I could do better than that"? The NSW Greyhound Breeders, Owners and Trainers Association is giving you the chance to put someone else's money where your mouth is with Do You Think You Can Score? , the brainchild of Wentworth Park on course bookmaker Sam Vardakas.

"Wentworth Park?", you ask. Not somewhere normally associated with soccer / football. Up until now you'd be correct, but that's all about to change. Every person attending Wentworth Park greyhound racing on Saturday 17 March will receive an entry into the draw to select twenty people who will try to kick a goal against a Premier League goalie. Kickers must be aged 18 or over, but you can let someone take the kick on your behalf. The prize, apart from crowd adulation, is a cool $1,000 for each person who finds the net.

Wentworth Park is conveniently located in Wentworth Park Rd Glebe. Gates open at 5.30pm and the lucky participants will be drawn at 8.15pm. Entry to the grounds is $5.50 for adults (children under 18 free) but your shot at fame and fortune, complete with bragging rights, is entirely free. Full terms and conditions are available here .
