There's a new pop up at The Star showcasing the best of Singaporean Hawker style street food. The heart of Singaporean food comes from 3 main ethnic groups: Chinese, Malaysian and Indian which is reflected by the authentic menu on offer.

I ordered the Old Airport Road Hokkien Prawn Mee ($14) which is a popular dish eaten by both locals and tourists alike. This hearty dish consists of yellow noodles, rice vermicelli, big meaty prawns, squid, fish cake, pork belly strips, egg and crunchy fried lard.

I was hooked at the first bite, the tasty broth together with the generous serve of seafood and noodles were just perfect for a cold winter's day. Unlucky for me that I could only fit in one dish but I will be back to try the rest.

This Pop Up is your chance to experience Singapore's famous hawker centres. With Singaporean chefs behind the woks serving authentic and delicious hawker food, you won't be disappointed. Don't miss your chance to try it for yourself.
