This December, TRY, an iconic Melbourne not-for-profit which focuses on the needs of young people, families and communities, is presenting 'Since 1883', their inaugural photographic exhibition.
Held at No Vacancy Gallery in the CBD, 'Since 1883' offers a unique insight in how TRY has successfully stood the test of time as Melbourne has grown and evolved, through ten generations and thirty Australian prime ministers.
Since 1883, TRY has been creating opportunities for young people to change their lives through the dignity of work and education. Today TRY is a social purpose organisation, delivering access to early learning, mentoring for the vulnerable and those at-risk and training and employment opportunities for those wanting to try, but have not had the chance.
Through this fascinating photographic exhibition, you can discover the influencers from the 1800s to the present day, who were and are not afraid to challenge the status quo, and the people who were given an opportunity to try, and then succeed.
'Since 1883' is free to visit and will be open to the public from 3 to 9 December 2018:
