A really interesting find
Simply Second Hand Midland is one of the weirdest shops I have ever visited. I was led in there by my husband who wanted to check out their collection of records. The first thing I noticed when I stepped inside was the impressive display of stuffed animal heads that they had mounted on a wall. I'd never seen anything like it before and neither had my two-year-old. Her eyes went as big as saucers and she shouted "Dinosaurs!" No, they weren't dinosaurs, but that might be the only thing that Simply Second Midland doesn't have in stock.

How cool are these?
I thought I was going to be bored while I waited for my husband to look through their record but boy – was I wrong. It doesn't seem right to call Simply Second Midland just another thrift shop. They're so much more than that. They are house and shed clearance specialists and have been buying strange nick knacks since
1997. If you're looking to clear out some junk or have been given the task of sorting through a deceased estate Simply Second Midland might be able to help you out by taking some things off your hands.
Simply Second Midland is after anything old and interesting. They will happily pay cash for furniture, old advertising material, white goods, mattresses, toys or books, collectibles, old tools or signs, records, or anything related to petrol, beer or oil.

So much choice!
I had a lot of fun walking through the store and seeing what they had in stock. It was fascinating. There were old golf clubs, china figurines, vintage dolls, stacks of old magazines, records, white goods, mattresses, furniture, children's toys and decorative plates and old signs and so many shelves bursting with cups and plates and dinner sets. The most intriguing thing that caught my eye was a pink sea shell filled with smaller shells. Oh and a lion's head rug.

How weird and cool is this?
Simply Second Midland is located at 7 Spring Road in Midland. It is a short walk from Midland Gate Shopping Centre and the Midland Farmer's Market which operates every Sunday between 7am and 3pm. If you're in Midland on a Sunday like we were why not explore the farmer's market and then have a peek inside this fantastic vintage shop? You might find something that will interest you.
