Ever since I was 7-years-old, I knew I wanted to be a writer and made my own Mr Men books. Today, I am a freelance writer and have the privilege to review bands, theatre and comedy across Melbourne, not to mention interview some incredible artists.
Silvers Circus is back in town
After almost forty years on the road Silver's Circus continues to entertain audiences around Australia with its jaw dropping and heart-pounding acts. Currently located at the Burnley Oval in Richmond until the 10th July, Silvers Circus is entertainment for the whole family.
In 1976, Anton & Anna Gasser launched Silvers Circus in Australia and the household name has the coveted position of one of the Top 10 Circuses of the World. Running for two hours the show is suitable for families, especially children between 4-12. Between acts, Silvers offers a mini fair including showbags, games and fairy floss. Showcasing incredible talent from around the world, Silvers Ringmaster Simon Tait kept the momentum going.
The sensational Phoenix Riders
With an ever-changing program, Silvers is dedicated to innovation and aim to keep their acts fresh. The performances were both funny and highly skilled. Highlights of the show include; Tight Wire, Hoola Hoops and The Globe of Death. The world famous Phoenix riders will make you hold your breath as they zoom around the metal globe missing each other by mere millimetres. Special mention goes out to the Wheel of Steel performers who will keep you on the edge of your seat as they power through their death defying routine. Overall, a captivating show and one that will hold your attention to the very end.
