In the past two years, Silky Shapes Studio has swiftly grown in popularity with Sydneysiders, thanks to its wide range of classes, special events and kids classes, which are a great school holiday activity.
If you have ever wanted to learn how to shape beautiful objects out of clay, take part in the all-inclusive beginners' 3 class package which will teach you wheel throwing, trimming and how to glaze basic cylinders.
These group classes are held in a fun and encouraging atmosphere and include demonstrations, one on one guidance and all required materials. After completing the 3 beginners' classes, you can continue to develop your skills as a returning student.
These advanced classes will see students take on more advanced projects, including making functional pottery, teapots, hand building, surface decorations, mold making and slip-casting. Regardless of which class you participate in, all materials are supplied. All you need to do is wear comfortable casual clothes (which you don't mind getting clay on!)
There are also regular pottery classes suitable for children from age 12 and if you have a group of children under age 12, you can consider a private class. There are also modified classes designed for corporate events, teambuilding, birthdays and hen's parties!
Silky Shapes Studio is ideal whether you're after a great date night idea, girl's night out event, a unique activity to do with friends or family or just looking for something new and exciting to do! Come along, get creative and meet some new like-minded friends!
