Silent is the touching and challenging story of homeless McGoldrig, who once had splendid things. But he has lost it all – including his mind. He now dives into the wonderful wounds of his past through the romantic world of Rudolph Valentino.

Silent is a one-man show directed by Jim Culleton. It was written and is performed by Irish actor and dramaturge Pat Kinevane.

Pat is a native of Cobh, Co. Cork. He has worked as an actor in theatre, film, television and radio for 23 years. As a writer he completed his first full length play The Nun's Wood in 1997. Pat wrote The Death of Herod for Mysteries 2000 at the SFX. In 2008 his piece Evangeline Elsewhere premiered in New York in the First Irish Festival. As well as Silent, Pat is currently also touring with his solo piece Forgotten.

This new production by Fishamble opened in 2011, following an In Development showcase at the 2010 Dublin Theatre Festival. Fishamble is an award-winning, internationally acclaimed company, dedicated to the discovery, development and production of new work for the Irish stage.

Since 1988, the Company has produced numerous plays by first-time and established playwrights. Fishamble has brought this work to audiences throughout Ireland as well as to England, Scotland, USA, Canada, Bulgaria, Romania, Turkey, France, Germany, Iceland, Croatia, and the Czech Republic.

Pat Kinevane may be seen in Silent at The Parade Theatre 1, Perth Cultural Centre, Northbridge. Tickets cost from $26 and are available from the FringeWorld website .
