Paris is undeniably one of the most vibrant cities in the world, and what better way to see the sights than during a cruise down the River Seine? The Seine runs past many extraordinary sights including the Eiffel Tower, Notre-Dame and the Louvre.
If you are on a budget then it's an efficient way to see the landmarks as many of the cruise companies offer hour long boat trips with audio for under €20; I used the Bateaux Parisiens company where an adult ticket costs €15.

The trip takes in much more than might be expected for an hour's journey, and whereas some audio tours can leave you yawning this cruise is particularly interesting and details little bits of history as you approach each site.

The amazing architecture of Notre-Dame
A night cruise offers the romance of viewing Paris – and the Eiffel Tower in particular – when it is spectacularly lit up, however from experience a cruise in the day allows views of the city's exquisite architecture and isn't as cold as the evening! It is an essential visitor experience and great for the snap happy.
