Waggy tails for all at this brand new park
A brand new fully enclosed adventure playground for dogs has recently opened in Sienna Wood, Hilbert.

There are two enclosures; one for big dogs and one for small dogs. The large exercise zone is slightly bigger than the small zone but neither are very big in my opinion. If you have been to the small enclosed dog parks at Whiteman Park and Aveley, that is the size of the big area at Sienna Wood. That said, there is still ample space for your beloved pet to run around in both the large and small exercise zones, play chase and meet new and old friends.

The bin and bags are outside the enclosed areas.

When you enter the first gate, you go into a 'holding area' where the water fountain and bowl are. This area is shared.

Then you choose which side you would like to play in depending on the size of your pooch; large or small. Both zones have agility equipment for the dogs, benches for us humans and some shade from a few trees.

All the equipment in the large zone is orange and blue in the small zone. There is much the same equipment on both sides.

Some of the agility equipment doubles up as shade for your best friend, which will be useful on those warmer days.

There are no rules for what denotes a small dog, but generally, a dog under 10kg is classed as small. Just use discretion and be mindful that there are two separate areas for a reason, so all dogs can enjoy time off the leash with dogs of similar size to them.

There are etiquette rules on the gates. All users of the facility will benefit from reading them. They are common sense for the most part.

There are toilets nearby at the new shipwreck playground and a BBQ area with sheltered tables and benches a short walk away.

For those humans feeling energetic, there is exercise equipment by the BBQ area too.

Take your fur best friend here, let them enjoy the other dogs' company whilst you enjoy the other dog owners company! It's a win-win for everyone.
