Fri 08 Feb 2019 - Wed 20 Feb 2019

The saying goes that there is no such thing as a free lunch! However, in this instance, there is an annual FREE concert series which has a choice of three different dates.

The perfect soundtrack to summer in the city, this will be held at one of Melbourne's favourite venues. In 2019, it will be some 90 years since the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra (MSO) has been performing these free concerts, which have been held at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl for 60 years.

Admission is FREE and the gates open at 4.30 pm, with entry on a first come, first served basis. The concerts will start at 7.30 pm and go until about 10.30 pm.

Dates for the three events are:
  • Friday 8th February
  • Saturday 16th February
  • Wednesday 20th February

  • To make it more comfortable, you can bring a picnic blanket and perhaps with a drink in hand, enjoy the music of talented artists from around the world. Sit back and relax while you experience great classical music with friends and family in a fantastic setting.

This event will be presented in association with the University of Melbourne.
