$1 Books, CDs and DVDs
Do you love books? I do, and I get very excited by a good book sale, that's why news of the fabulous Oxfam $1 Book Sale is very exciting. Oxfam's Second Hand Book Shop located at 5 Hutt Street, Adelaide will once again host their $1 Super Sidewalk Book Sale on Saturday 17 March 2018 from 9 am to 3 pm.
Oxfam is a community based worldwide development and aid organisation committed to working with communities to fight poverty. With one person in three in the world living in poverty, Oxfam works to change working with the people to develop long-term solutions that address the root causes of poverty. Operating in 80 countries around the world, the strength of the organisation comes from staff, volunteers, the Board and supporters. They believe that poverty is unjustifiable and preventable and that no-one should live in poverty.

The Oxfam Second Hand Bookshop has an amazing array of books, CDs and DVDs, all of which will be on offer for just $1 out the front of the store. The bookshop is 100% volunteer run and sell 100% donated stock to raise money for Oxfam Australia projects. Proceeds raised will be dedicated to The Global Hunger, Family and Food Security Appeal, directing aid and development resources to the crises areas of Yemen, South Sudan, Nigeria and Horn of Africa.
On offer is a range of quality second-hand fiction and non-fiction books with the sale full of amazing bargains. All of your favourite authors such as Ken Follett, Maeve Binchy, Margaret Atwood and Jodi Picoult. Children's books will be available from 50 cents. The challenge will be in deciding what to buy and what not to buy. Ensure you bring along strong carry bags or boxes to take your purchases home.
