As the director of Keogh Music and a WAAPA graduate it comes as no surprise that Sid Pattni is having great success in his short time as a solo artist.
His love for creating music stems from his time playing the drums which was unfortunately cut short after a broken wrist, yet his musical talents were not wasted as he taught himself piano and eventually became the talented artist he is today.
It's hard to believe that it was only in July that Sid released his first track and since then has been recognised across Australia and recently been featured internationally.
He recently got featured on '
Lost at E Minor ' which is an online international publication going out to tens of thousands. They coined his sound as 'Future Soul' and stated that "
He has managed to create a sound that is as much soul as it is a personal diary account. His music is rooted in traditional soul music, adding elements of Jazz, South Indian music and Electronic Soul".
He has also been featured on
Future Beats Australia as single of the week and has twice been featured by international beats blog '
Nice Beats Ever '.
Sid has also been played on national radio, Future Face in Sydney twice now promoting his songs 'Got to Learn Somehow' and 'Together but On My Own'. His latest release 'Together but on my own' was featured less than 24hours after its release and is testament to the sound he's putting out.
With his unique and refreshing sound, it is clear from the publicity he is receiving that he is definitely someone to watch; especially considering a collaboration with one of Australia's top producers which will be released in the near future!
As a music lover and a supporter of local talent, I wouldn't recommend any artist other than Sid Pattni, check out his
Facebook page and his tracks on
SoundCloud and sit tight as the countdown for his EP release beings!
