The old island of Ortigya, which is the original part of Siracusa in the southern tip of Sicily has winding streets full of bakeries, cafes and traditional Italian dolce (sweet dessert) patisseries. Marzipan fruits like these are traditional to Sicily and a sweet treat to go with your bitter afternoon espresso.
