Discount Shoes For All
Just about any colour and any size
The routine of buying school shoes at the end of the holidays is an inevitable and unenviable task. When we approached the store my youngest son announced "Shoo away Shu Way!'
This shopping feat of finding cheap brown school shoes is getting tougher to achieve. I was told by Shu-way that many of the manufacturers are thinking about stopping the production of brown school shoes. I hope they tell the schools that have them as core uniform that they are phasing them out.
I have been going to Shu-way In Macleod for ten years, having four kids needing brown shoes. I have rung around to find somewhere closer to no avail. Even the outlets that have several shoe stores do not stock them.
I have to thank the shop assistants. They are always incredibly patient and supportive. They stock half sizes which I just found out are helpful for those with a broader foot. The staff spend as much time as you need fitting the shoes, getting kids to curl their toes, walk with both shoes on, push forward etc until they are perfect.
I was most impressed that the staff recommended the cheaper shoes when they found out my son was a footy player. There was considerable pressure from my eleven year old daughter for yet another pair of pink sandals. They were very nice but this miniature Imelda Marcos cannot keep all the others in order. We were very lucky getting out of the store for under $60.
Just what she needs- another pair of pink sandals
In addition to brown school shoes they also stock men's, women's, children's, formal, casual and fitness footwear, along with slippers and baby shoes.
That's a good deal
Shu-way has been located in Macleod for forty years. It is near La Trobe Uni and the West Heidelberg factories, but not near many other retail stores. This out of the way shoe shop always seems to have specials. The day we went they had some terrific bargains, for example, ladies' shoes for $8 and men's runners for $25. I almost bought the tiny baby runners but couldn't think of who they would fit.
On sale today - men's sports shoes
Shu-way also have another store in the Tunstall Square shopping centre in Doncaster East.
