School Holiday Programs also run throughout the year to coincide with the Victorian School Year which are a perfect way to introduce children aged 6-12 years to The Shrine. One such activity is the Family Explorer Trail, stop at eight different stations at the Shrine and discover the spirit of ANZAC. Pick up a Family Explorer Trail map from the Shrine Visitor's Centre and take a journey through the military history. There are other variety of inspirational and educational activities for families to do together, such as Animal Matching, Draw It and Find-A-Word.
Pick up a map, brochures, flyers, or the Children's Tour Book at the Visitor Centre front desk.
Don't hesitate to ask for directions or help from the Visitor Services staff and volunteers, they are always ready to answer all of your questions.

After your trail around the Shrine, talk to your children about the experience. Children could write about their experience, may be research about one of the soldiers and discover the history behind it all.
The complete trail may take 45-60 mins. This activity is suitable for children aged 6-12 years. All families who complete the Explorer Trail receive an Explorer Trail Goody Bag and will also have the opportunity to enter into a prize draw to win children's books and gifts from the Shrine Shop worth over $100.
